Where did you grow up?

I am an Army brat, so I grew up all over the country, but I call Conway, Arkansas my home. My dad served in the Army as an Airborne Ranger for over twenty-five years before retiring. During his service we lived in Alabama, North Carolina, Hawaii, Louisiana, Georgia before finally settling down in Conway, Arkansas. I started school at Carl Stuart Middle School and eventually graduated from Conway High School in 2010. GO WAMPUS CATS!

Where did you go to college?

I actually started at the University of Central Arkansas the summer between my junior and senior year of high school at Conway High. I attended classes throughout that summer and my senior year of high school. I graduated from UCA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing and Linguistics within two and a half years and was involved in the honors program at UCA, Sigma Alpha Lambda. I then went on to William H. Bowen School of Law at UALR in the fall of 2013. During law school, I was the Managing Editor of Law Review, board member of Delta Theta Phi, selected to write for the Arkansas Real Estate Review, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in May of 2016.

Have you always wanted to be a lawyer?

I was 13 years old when I decided I wanted to be a lawyer. Coach Prince, my 9th grade Civics teacher at Conway Junior High (the “East Campus” at that time), had a lawyer come speak to the class. I honestly don’t remember what that lawyer said, or even his name, but I remember thinking to myself, “this man seems like he has it all together, he is confident, authoritative, and solves problems every day. I want to do that.” From that day forward,  my dream was to become a lawyer.   Ten years after sitting in that 9th grade Civics class, I fulfilled my dream and became a licensed attorney.

What areas of the law have you practiced in?

After graduating from law school in May of 2016 and passing the Arkansas Bar Exam shortly after, I began working for Thomas W. Mickel and Dustin T. Chapman at Mickel & Chapman in Conway, Arkansas. I practiced in a wide range of areas representing local businesses and individuals in numerous areas, including Workers Compensation, The Jones Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation, Employment Law, Social Security Disability, Personal Injury, Insurance Claims, Estate Planning, and Domestic Relations. In July of 2018, I went to work for Reddick Moss, PLLC, where I practiced primarily in complex litigation, including medical malpractice and nursing home litigation.

What community activities are you involved with?

I love being involved in Conway, both personally and professionally.  I am an active member of Arkansas Bar Association, Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers (AAWL), Pulaski County Bar Association, Faulkner County Bar Association, Women’s Leadership Network – Conway, Conway Regional Women’s Council, and I am a 2019 Provisional Member of Junior Auxiliary – Conway.

What are your hobbies/special interests?

I absolutely love spending time with my family. My husband (Zachary Parker) and I are high school sweethearts and met when we were at Conway High. We were married in Eureka Springs, Arkansas in the summer of 2013, and welcomed our daughter, Scarlett Parker, in the summer of 2017. My husband has a big family (his mother married into the Schichtl family) and we enjoy spending time with all of our extended family. We are also superhero/Star Wars nerds – you will catch us at all the movie premieres!
